Most of the students who enter in the field of IT profession they designated by the company with their roles and responsibility. While mentoring to students in workshops, seminar, camps, they always have a basic confusion regarding Web-designing & Web-development. Keeping those all aspects and question in my mind, I am writing my first blog to explore this terminology.

Human brain divides into two equal parts, right brain and left brain with each half performing a fairly distinct set of operations. More specifically right brain functional for graphical sets of operations and left brain performs logical sets of operations. The question is why I am writing about biological science? Is there any similarity?

Web-designer who deals with the front end development to convey more information in a graphical way. From designing the user interface to create live, dynamic contents, animation, transitions, flexibility, and robustness in website building process.

Salary Structure

The answer to this question in not generalizes, as the salary structure of any web-designer is decided by the organization and it varies according to firm to firm. According to my observation and some little bit survey over past few years, I found web-designer got less package CTC as compare to developers or any other programming experts. In Indian IT market, basic salary of web-designer starts from 15k to 20k up to 35k to 50k. It varies according to seniority at firm and so many HR related aspects for salary hike.

Career Scope

Web-designing is very good career option in IT profession, current trends and demands of the market are more concentered on UI and UX. There is no bar and limitation of engineering degree only, the person who graduated in any specialization can easily enter into this field, moreover he or she can love graphics-oriented work. As I mentioned the person who has good graphical memory or active right brain can easily enjoy this profession and able to explore new ventures in his career.

Web-Developer

As we see phase-3 is web designer oriented phase, there they prepare UI layers and many interactive elements on the website. Here in phase-4 web-development work starts. Web-developer who deals with the back end development programming, mainly logical-operation, integration, front-end interaction, database management, content processing etc. in website building process.

Web-development consist several platforms to perform or to generate output. Web-development execution depends on the company preferred programming language that actually useful for backend programming. Career Scope

Web-development is most popular career option among other career option in IT. Internet users increase day by day with increasing popularity of web applications. E-commerce sector booming every year, payment transactions, e-wallets, etc. are the new market ventures who grab the almost 50% of the public crowd. Hence most of the companies required a good web developer to develop better products and applications. For coming 10 to 15 years web-development keep its space constants in the progressive curve.

Ultimately if your left brain works more efficiently and you have good logical ability then this domain is a great career option for you.
